Happy Sabbath, Berean! What a wonderful sight to see all the flowers blooming and everything coming alive after wintertime. It makes me think of heaven, and what it will be like. Although ear has not heard, nor eye has seen the wondrous things God has in store for us, He gives us little snippets of the glory awaiting those who trust Him and obey Him.

The pen of Inspiration says, “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” Col. 3:2. I must admit, that is easier said than done. But when I allow the beauty of Godʼs Word regarding heaven and the earth made new play upon the screen of my imagination, it takes my breath away! Have you ever envisioned that celestial city with its streets of purest gold, foundation walls of precious stones, opulent mansions, stately trees, flowers with the most delicate scents, and the river of life flowing from the throne of God with the tree of life on either side of it? I have. Itʼs what I envision during my devotions as Jesus and I converse as we walk along that beautiful shore. It makes Him and heaven very real to me. But while in this life this enrapturing scene is only in my mindʼs eye, soon and very soon I pray it will be my reality...and yours. It is because of Jesusʼ great sacrifice on Calvary that we have the opportunity to look forward to a better tomorrow in a land where there is no night.

It is because God loves you and me so much that all He wants is for us to love Him in return. He wants to become a real part of our lives here and now and finally, to live with us forever (Rev. 21:3). Oh, what a joy that will be—God living with us!

Berean, we have the blessed privilege to help our children learn about what God has planned for them. We can do this by supporting Christian education. Letʼs place our love gifts in the baskets that are brought to us by the children at Offering time or in a tithe envelope (indicate amount on the Education/ Scholarship line). May God help us to keep our minds on things above!
