What a blessed Sabbath day!
Berean, words cannot express how much I appreciate your support of Christian education. You are truly a loving and caring church family. It’s such a blessing to know that God’s people here at Berean take seriously the charge God has given us to guard spiritually the young. No one has said it better than God’s servant, Ellen G. White: “God has appointed the church as a watchman, to have a jealous care over the youth and children, and as a sentinel to see the approach of the enemy and give warning of danger . . . .The church has a special work to do in educating and training its children.” Child Guidance, Page 312.

We must let nothing deter us from our efforts to safeguard our youth from the cunning craftiness of the Devil. As we continue to daily commit our lives to God, I know He will impress our hearts with the needed heavenly wisdom to guide and nurture our children. It is not only our financial support that they need, but they ardently need our right example, our fervent prayers and our unfailing love. And when they get discouraged, we need to remind them of God’s promise: “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10. Our young people need to be assured of our commitment to their success—spiritually, mentally and physically. Let’s not disappoint them or our God.

Berean, every time we give to Christian education, we’re thwarting the Devil’s plans to take captive our children. I entreat you to continue supporting this worthwhile ministry by placing your love gifts in the baskets that are brought to you by the children at Offering time or in a tithe envelope (indicate the amount on the Education line). I know we’re all anxiously waiting for that blessed day when these glorious words emanate from the melodious voice of our Savior to us: “Well done, thou good and faithful servant . . . . enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” Matthew 25:21.
