By Toni Osborne,

Happy Sabbath Berean! I have a question for you. What is the object of education? Is it not to promote the highest development of mind, body and soul so that the divine purpose of God might be realized? Is it not to direct our minds to the Creator—the source of all knowledge, wisdom and understanding? I believe the answer is a resounding Yes! But where can such an education be obtained—where prayer is encouraged; where students are taught to look to God for answers to lifeʼs perplexing problems; where character is shaped not just for this life but for the life to come; where taking care of your body is as important as taking care of your mind; where unselfish ministry is encouraged as a way of life; where the principles of right and wrong, according to the Word of God, are taught? What education can be higher than this? What can equal it in value? I praise God that we have a school system that provides this kind of education from kindergarten to graduate school.

Berean, God has given us the privilege to help our children and youth to obtain this kind of education by placing our commitment to Christian education in the baskets that are brought to us by the children at Offering time. If you place your gift in a tithe envelope, please indicate the amount on the Education/Scholarship line. Letʼs not forget the words of the Apostle Paul, “And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:9-10. May God richly bless you for your generosity.
